to keep your plants from sitting in a dark warehouse over the weekend, we only ship on mondays and tuesdays via australia post express. if you order after midnight on sunday, your plant will head out on tuesday or the following week.

almost everything we sell is a fully established plant with a healthy, active root system that is ready to grow. we propagate entirely from our own mother plants, doing the hard work of stabilizing them first so you don't have to take the gamble. if we ever drop a limited batch of fresh-cut nodes, they will be very clearly labeled.

we highly recommend waiting at least two to three weeks. shipping is stressful for a plant, so letting them settle down and get used to your home's light and humidity first makes for a much happier transition.

we use a self-watering pot setup for most of our plants on the benches. they are grown in a chunky, airy mix made specifically for tropical climbing plants, which lets the roots breathe perfectly while drawing up just the right amount of consistent moisture.

we take plant health incredibly seriously and run a strict, multi-layered preventative routine on our benches. our strategy includes a regular rotation of predatory bugs, organic treatments, and targeted, nursery-approved professional pesticides and miticides when necessary. every single plant is thoroughly inspected before it gets packed up for shipping.

even though we only ship clean, healthy plants, it is always best practice to quarantine any new plant you bring home for the first two weeks. giving it its own space away from the rest of your collection lets it settle in safely and gives you peace of mind while it acclimates to your home.

we guarantee that every plant leaves our greenhouse healthy and in beautiful condition. if your plant arrives looking severely compromised, you must message us within 24 hours of delivery with clear photos or an unboxing video. if it's within that 24-hour window, we will always do our absolute best to make it right via a replacement or store credit.

once your package is scanned at australia post, it is completely out of our hands. while our insulated packing protects against minor hiccups, hoyaland isn't responsible for damage caused by mail delays, rough courier handling, or lost parcels.

we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges. because rare tropical plants are living, delicate, and perishable things, all sales are final once they leave our greenhouse

we love hunting down rare wishlist plants and specific traits for collectors! however, we maintain a strict closed-bench policy and do not accept outside plants from other collections for propagation services in order to keep our greenhouse environment secure. if you want us to source a clone for you, head to our custom requests page to let us know what you are looking for.
