🌞 RARE Hoya cv. Elephant (AH 027) | GIGANTIC Thick Leaf 🩷
1st available propagated release for this year.
The Hoya cv. Elephant AH 027 is a highly sought-after cultivar in the Hoya community, prized for its impressively large foliage. The name 'Elephant' is derived from its strikingly giant, thick leaves that resemble an elephant's ears in size and shape.
Care for your Giant:
To ensure your Hoya 'Elephant' reaches its full potential, follow these essential care guidelines:
Light: Provide plenty of Bright, Indirect Light. This encourages robust growth, prominent splashing, and beautiful blooms. Protect from harsh afternoon sun to prevent scorching.
Water: As a thick-leaved Hoya, it is slightly more drought-tolerant. Allow the well-draining potting mix to dry out almost completely between waterings. Overwatering is the biggest risk.
Soil: Use a very airy, well-draining epiphytic mix.
Support:Must be trellised! The heavy, massive leaves can easily pull down a delicate vine. Give it sturdy support early on to promote bigger leaves.
Temperature: Keep warm, ideally between 18∘C to 29∘C (65∘F to 85∘F).
Collector’s Note:
This is a premium, high-demand cultivar. Due to the massive leaf size, established plants may require specialised shipping. Will need a trellis for support.
