Why You’ll Love It

  • Color-Shifting Blooms: Flowers emerge with delicate olive green hues, gradually shifting to warm reddish tones as the petals flex fully backward, lasting about a week.

  • Larger Flower Form: Produces distinctly larger blooms than its close relatives Hoya sp. Tanggamus and Hoya sp. Garut.

  • Arrives with Active Peduncles: Established and bloom-ready, saving you months of waiting for its first floral cycle.

  • Distinct New Clone 2: Features clean, less splashy foliage compared to the yellow-flowered first clone, focusing energy into rapid growth and frequent bud production.

  • Easy-Care Thin-Leaf Habit: Remarkably cooperative and forgiving, making it a reliable bloomer for both beginner setups and seasoned collections.

  • Queensland Grown: Established locally in our coarse precision mix to support a smooth, gentle transition into your care.

Botanical Profile & Care

A dynamic new accession originating from East Java (Jawa Timur). This distinct second clone of Hoya sp. Jatim is an easy-care, thin-leaf species celebrated for how freely and quickly it flowers. Unlike Clone 1 (which features splashier leaves and yellowish blooms), Clone 2 focuses on clean, subtle foliage and larger, dramatic blossoms that surpass sp. Tanggamus and sp. Garut in size. The flowers open in soft olive green hues and slowly transition into warm reddish tones as they fully reflex, holding for around a week. Arriving established with active peduncles in our airy precision mix, it is thriving, well-rooted, and ready to flower.

  • Foliage: Elegant, thin, pliable green leaves with minimal splash and an energetic vining habit.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light to stimulate regular peduncle budding and deep flower colour transition.

  • Substrate: Potted in our signature Hoyaland Precision Mix (Kiwi bark, tree fern fibre, pumice, Akadama, and sphagnum).

  • Water: Allow the top 40–50% of the substrate to dry between waterings; keep moisture consistent while buds develop.

  • 1-of-1 Guarantee: The plant pictured is the exact specimen you will receive.
